HOUSE OF BLUES SUNSET STRIP
If you live in the greater Los Angeles area, specifically West Hollywood, Brian will be playing on a bill in the Foundation Room of House of Blues on Sunset May 8th. This is his second HOB show; get excited.

RECORDING
I've been quiet lately and not touring as much because I've been in the studio working on a new full length CD. It's going really well and I'm so excited to get it finished and out there. I really like the new material and the sound that's developing because if it. Look for demos to start being posted for short periods on the myspace page. I'm hoping to have the record done this winter and get back out on the road again in early 2008.

CALIFORNIA TOUR
I was pretty sure the House of Blues was a big show, and it definitely was! My endless gratitude to everyone who came out and showed amazing support; thank you. (There are lots of pictures from it on the facebook group if you can find it! I think you just search with my name...) However, in February, i'm kicking off a quick California tour at the world famous Viper Room in West Hollywood. The stage I'm playing on at the Viper Room has hosted Billy Corgan, Elvis Costello, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Bruce Springsteen the Chilli Peppers, Lenny Kravitz and Johnny Cash to name a few.
I'm pretty excited. Things are going well.
I'll also be playing a West Coast reunion show with my old friends Quinn's Uncles in the acoustic lounge at the Derby and plans are in the works for me to join the immeasurably talented Brian Buckley for a gig in LA, a solo show up the coast in Santa Barbara and/or San Luis Obispo and finally a show with Phil Putnam (Sacramento Magazine's 'Best Piano Man With Panache, 2006') in Sacramento. Details on these gigs are still being worked out.
In other news, I've just finished recording an EP with a cool cover of 'She Drives Me Crazy' by The Fine Young Cannibals that I'll be releasing primarily on iTunes in the new year, and we're potentially going to be working on a college radio campaign with 'The Usual Stories..' in the new year as well. Oh, and my myspace page hit the 10,000 views mark last month which I had hoped to do by the end of the 2006! Many thanks to everyone who has visited! I'll post some new music soon.
Finally, I don't say this enough, but thank you. Thank you for signing on to this mailing list (or not asking yet to be removed after I put you on...) and thank you for buying CD's, downloading from iTunes, visiting myspace and briansharpe.com, coming out to shows and generally taking time out of your lives and thinking of me. Since putting the CD out last May, I've played Piano's in Manhattan, The House of Blues in Chicago and booked the Viper Room in Los Angeles. I've had absolutely nothing but fun and none of it would be possible without every form of support I receive from you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
BRIAN SHARPE AT THE HOUSE OF BLUES
The House of Blues, Chicago occasionally hosts a songwriter in the round show where five singer/songwriters sit on stage with their guitars taking turns playing songs and sharing stories on the Back Porch Stage. On December 4th Brian will be one of them as will our friend Chris Bryan. This is a huge gig for Brian and it should be really fun night, so we'd love to see a good crowd come out. If you'd like to help promote it, send Brian a message and let us know.

THE CONSENSUS REVIEW OF 'LAST GOODBYE'
Brian's song, 'Last Goodbye' has just been reviewed on c0nsensus.com and received an overall average score of 7.13 out of 10, which was high enough to put it on their 'Our Picks' list. As of October 13th, it was ranked 49 out of 871 songs the Consensus has reviewed. Not bad for Friday the 13th...

ACOUSTIC LONG ISLAND PODCAST
Brian's live show from St. James, NY on September 13th is now available for free in podcast form from the iTunes Music Store or from the Acoustic Long Island website. It's a stellar recording of a great show go get it before we put it on a CD and start charging you 15 bucks for it!
NEW YORK AND NEW TRACKS
Brian will be playing a couple of shows in the great state of New York on September 13th and 14th: one on Long Island (9/13) which will subsequently be podcast on Acoustic Cafe Long Island, the number one acoustic podcast on iTunes. He'll also be playing a show with Olivia Greer and her band in Manhattan at Pianos (9/14.) If you're in the NYC area, check the tour page and then come out to the shows!
Also, there's a demo of Brian's new song 'Down in Lonelyland' which you've heard him play if you've seen him at all this summer (and you loved it!) and a live version of 'Last Chance' from 'The Usual Stories...' up on the myspace page.

The summer is upon us, and that means that I'm running around in short pants, watching too many 'Laguna Beach' re-runs, using interjections like "yo" and playing a butt-load of shows.
The top of the butt-load, is this Thursday in Chicago at The Ashland. I'll be playing at 9:30pm in a Chicago Singer/Songwriter showcase hosted by Joel Davis and also featuring Jess Lucille who will be playing at 8:30pm. I've been listening to Ms. Lucille on myspace for the last twenty minutes or so and her music is quite sublime. If you're into Dar Williams and the softer side of Ani Difranco, you'll like Jess Lucille too.
Indiana in July, Wisconsin in August, New York in September and Minneapolis will be somewhere in there as well... see the tour page for the rest of the butt-load.
